Everything Your Home Pilates Studio Needs

I think it’s safe to say that we’re all in a new routine of working out at home. Some of my clients for years have had their mat, some props, and their homework they committed to when they weren’t in the studio with me. And some of us have had to find this space thanks to Covid. While I know this is a very hard time and we are all missing our “studios” I think we can all agree that there is a sense of relief knowing we can get a good workout at home.

The below is a curated list of my suggested props to make the most out of your “home pilates studio” and our workouts together. There are a lot of places you can buy these items. My first suggestion would be to try to go for the brands/items I’ve suggested. This being said, I know the whole world is trying to outfit their homes right now too and stock is limited. So, buy from where you can and bonus points for supporting a small business.

  • Pilates Ring or Magic Circle. Buy here

  • A yoga mat is good but one of these squishy mats are even better. Your spine will thank you! Buy here

  • Therabands. Buy here

  • 1-2lb weights. I love the Equipt UWraps as you can put them on your wrists or ankles - check them out here. Also, be sure to use my code AshleyPatten for 10% off your purchase. After you’re done checking out Equipt’s beautiful products be sure to head to my On Demand Library where you’ll find lots of classes to use them with!

  • Yoga Block, I’m a fan of Manduka products but really any brand will do. Buy here

  • Foam Roller. Buy here

  • Small squishy ball. Buy here

  • Lacrosse balls (buy 2 if you can1) for rolling out feet and knots in the body. Buy here

Most of these links are for Amazon. I’ve also had luck buying from Gratz, Pilates Designs, (the first two are traditional pilates equipment distributors and won’t have everything listed above), Target.com, Spri.com, OPTP.com, and if you’re on the East Coast Flying Tiger Copenhagen (they don’t have online sales) has many of these items as well.

Products you buy through my links might earn me a commission.
