How I Upgrade My Water

Drinking Enough Water is Essential

For so may reasons. Our bodies are 60% water in fact and we loose water daily simply by breathing and sweating. So rehydrating and staying hydrated is essential. This being said, plain old water can get a little old sometimes. I love upgrading my water with different ingredients to give it a flavor boost and extra nutritional benefits. You’ll be drinking more water in no time and feeling the positive effects. Keep reading to see my favorite combos!

I have to admit, I’ve seen the “Stanley Cup” trending for a while and haven’t been sure about it. Especially when I’m very committed to my own Ashley Patten Pilates Water Bottle. But, I had to see what the hype was about and I’ll admit, it’s really good! To keep it plastic free, I bought these silicone straws that are super long and fit perfectly. Ironically, my son can’t get enough of the cup either so he’s been getting in on the fun too. It’s perfect for driving around and keeping on hand at home. If you’re going out and about and need a water bottle in your bag, the APP Bottle is still my go to!

Lemon and Ginger

Adding lemon in your water helps balance your blood sugar. Ginger has so many anti-inflammatory and immune system benefits so it’s a great way to boost the nutrition of your water while simultaneously making it taste better!

Lemon and Mint

Lemon is great in water but adding lime can be a fun way to mix things up. Adding mint makes the water very refreshing on a hot day and can be soothing to an upset stomach.
