October’s Conscious Covets
October is here and I am hoping for some sweater weather soon!
I LOVE summer but the change of seasons always feels good. It’s nice to wear layers, read a good book by the fire, eat a cozy meal, etc. Keep reading for what I’m into this month!
This deodorant is great! I have super sensitive skin, especially under my arms. I also don’t like using the toxic run of the mill deodorants at the pharmacy. Their smells are terrible and ingredients worse. Enter Nala Care Deodorants. They actually work, have both unscented and scented options and have ingredients you can feel good about. If you’re looking to transition to a natural deodorant but are nervous about it, what worked for me 20+ years ago was alternate every other day your traditional deodorant to your natural, then switch to every 2 days your traditional, then every 3 days, and so on and so forth. Eventually you don’t feel like you need your old school “Secret” deodorant!
I hate holding my phone in my hand. It makes my hand hurt but also, makes me use it more than I need. Most importantly, I hate being on my phone in front of my son but also, phones are part of our world now. This allows me to have it close by but also not “in my hand”. This has been so handy and can’t recommend it enough! Ina Seifart’s phone necklaces are so cute and in such happy colors. I think this is going to become my go to gift this holiday season!
I love Stellar Eats products. They’re so good and are made with 100% great ingredients. These single serve packets are great when you want a sweet treat but don’t want to make a whole batch - they’re especially good for our son! It allows him to “eat the whole thing” which is great for autonomy in the kitchen and when it comes to treats for him. I have been making them in ramekins in the oven I don’t love microwaves personally. I recently made 2 packs worth and put it in 3 ramekins and it was the perfect after dinner sweet treat.
Creating habits is a key to seeing and feeling long lasting results. When doing some research on this for the last newsletter of the month, I came across this article and felt like it was worth sharing. Take a read and try to apply what they have to say to your own life and see how it goes! It definitely takes a little bit longer to make a habit stick than I thought!
I hope you enjoy these as much as I do! If you end up checking anything out, be sure to tag me on Instagram @AshleyPattenPilates and/or comment below!
