June’s Conscious Covets
June is here and that means summer is officially about to start!
Sharing all that I am getting into this month and ready for summer. I am very much hoping that it will actually start to feel warm here soon. We kicked off June rolling in with an incredible trip the the Longhouse Reserve in East Hampton. It’s an outdoor garden and museum and was the perfect immersion in nature we needed. See to the right for one of my favorite installations! Keep reading for the inspo you might just need as we move into June!
I have to give my husband credit for these. He found a few pairs of these when we were in Austin, Tx and I immediately stole a pair from him. Aside from the fact that they are light and good looking they are priced right! I have lost sunglasses, broken them, etc. - all of which were expensive and I’m sick of that. Enter, Izipizi - definitely recommend!
This month’s focus is staying consistent. But you might need some motivation to get started or perhaps a mindset shift. This interview that Mel Robbins did with Dr. Alok Kanojia, MD is very interesting in how he “reframes” how you look at your goals so you can actually achieve them. It’s a great and interesting listen!
I love Lack of Color Hats! They are chic, functional, and priced well. I have many of them and have replaced my straw hat every two years or so - always with this same hat! It has a chin strap so it stays put when it’s windy on the beach. It comes in a fwe colors but love this shade typically!
I know I know, Dr. Huberman is rather polarizing. But he does cover good content. This caught my eye a few weeks ago and I decided to give it a listen. I found it very interesting and when I did my own research after the fact it all added up for me. This is a short but sweet podcast focusing just on balance, learning and focus. I have been using binaural beats (referenced above) since listening to this and I do think they work! Definitely worth a listen imo.
I left my copy of the Lion Women in Montauk so I decided to start something new while I waited to get back out there. I’ve heard a lot of buzz about this book and it was so easy to read. It was equally light as it was real. It’s a perfect summer read if you’re looking for something while you’re laying on the beach.
I bought this sunscreen when in Paris last November and it is SO good. It’s so light, you don’t even know you’re wearing it. I use this first and then wear a different tinted sunscreen over it. I love the protection from the sun and the coverage. I invest in my skin so wearing a sunscreen like this is an important part of maintaining the results.
